Jst heard Ammon Shea say "byard" but no idea the correct spelling. It means 'a person having the confidence of the ignorant'. Could be buyard, biyard, bieyardm byyard...etc! BTW he's the man who read the OED as well as several others!!! Also wrote the book, "Reading The OED, One man, one year, 23,730 pages." However, he is very difficult to understand on video as he speaks softly & w/ an unusual cadence. ...Hummm...maybe 'too much' time inside books!?

It means, a person having the confidence of the ignorant.
e.g. She told me it was in aisle D24, when it was in D30.
Hoping this answered Ur ?s. 1967 is the last time I spoke French so don't understand everything U've said. Sorry!
