Lagotto is short for Lagotto Romagnolo, an Italian Waterdog becoming more popular in the United States. Traditionally bred for truffle hunting, the breed has an incredible keen sense of smell. The Lagotto is hypoallergenic, and a very loyal dog that bonds very well with humans.
