  • It does make sense that it follows the pattern of sit and sat. My question is why doesn't 'fit' follow the same pattern? I can definitely see the relationship between 'fit' and 'fat'.

  • Dismal is used a lot by Lewis Carroll in Hunting of the Snark and Alice Through the looking glass. I recognized it right away. Just though it was something worth mentioning.
