  • I've stolen the word Superbeast from Teletext, but it deserves a mention since it is one of my favourite words.

Indeed, it's not really a word, more a concept. After all, can words have numbers in them? I think they should be allowed to if they want. The Superbeast is a kind of abstract way of describing emptyness in the pop cultural wasteland of modern day nothingness.

Also, once in a business studies class I managed to convince our teacher that a creature called Superbeast 47 had been developed in a laboratory!

  • Iced is an excellent word and one I used extensively on my travel blog while touring China and Southeast Asia.

So much stuff goes exactly as you wouldn't expected on the road. It goes wrong, people drop you off in the middle of nowhere, feed you freaky substances, communicate to you in hilariously broken English (at least they tried...). So I used the word "iced" to decribe the unpredictable results of various exploits. Such as:

"Iced by the bus service one again!"

or "...so I ended up getting iced on Chang"

    A truly great, versatile word!

  • What's great about this word is twofold: Firstly, it is double-barrelled, but not in the literal sense, since I've purposefully not bothered with the hyphen.

Also: I came up with the word myself, just now, when trying to come up with a nickname for this site. And I'm pretty damn impressed with it! Though I freely admit the novelty will run off very quickly. In fact I think I'm tiring of it already. No, actually this is not yet the case. It's ace!
