Perhaps wordy, but at a key point in my life while witnessing so many odd or non-sequitir moments among folks, I just needed a label to describe, well, what I saw and heard!
Yes, compared to my aggressive mediocrity contribution, this conveys a special flavor or tang of that angst from a particular fool who doesn't know his/her existence has resulted in half-brained, half-mind bending flummoxiation in normal people.
Several years ago in a fit of existential anger at someone for being a huge jerk, I had to personify this person and came up with these two words, so appropriate and economical in their description. I love it.
