  • Wowsers! We almos' gots 5 G's-worth o' wordie-peeps. The moon's the limit, right? 'Course I got nothin' to do wit' it other than bein' one of 'em. Still, feels good.

Wait, is 5000 a word? You betcha!: five thousand. :o)

  • Oh, O, no, you've got everything to do with it! It's the collective wit and wisdom here that draw all the others in, like moths to a flame :-)

  • Seems as good a word as any on which to mention that I just added an email notification option to profiles. If you go to your profile and click on the new 'edit contact options' link up top, you can choose to be emailed when someone comments on your profile or one of your word lists.

This is the default behavior for new wordies, but anyone who joined before tonight will have to go in and turn notifications on, if they want 'em.

I'll blog about this and a few other little changes once it seems like they're working ok. As always, any suggestions for improvements are welcome.

  • Thanks John! I notice you're on Wordie a lot more than before. How are things over at LT? I tend to neglect LT 'cause of Wordie, but try to keep up with what's going on there.

    September 15, 2007

  • Thanks, John! Nice feature. :-) And I too have neglected LT for Wordie (although I'm hooked on BookMooch and goodreads).

    September 16, 2007

  • I think things are well at LT, they've done a bunch of interesting stuff lately, of which my favorite are new social features. I don't work there anymore, though. I moved to New Jersey (following my significant other's career), and figured it was a good cue to focus on some of my own projects. Including Wordie (by far my favorite), which explains why I'm around more :-)

    September 16, 2007

  • New Jersey? Say, you're right across the bridge now! Congrats on the move. As for your having more time for Wordie--selfishly, I think I'm experiencing the opposite of that word I won't say. :-)

    September 16, 2007

  • ARGHHH! I know you didn't mean it this way, but you've revealed the horrible truth: I'm now a bridge and tunnel person :-)

Apologies to all the other nice people who live here, but I have to admit, I sometimes have a bad attitude about New Jersey. Which the state has mostly lived down to so far.

Another reason for you to be psyched, maybe: not a lot going on in New Brunswick, so Wordie gets yet more of my time...

    September 17, 2007

  • No! I really didn't mean it that way. In fact, I was talking about a whole other bridge. :-)

Come a little farther south & it's not quite as crazy. Okay, it is. But it's a different kind of crazy.
