There is no such word as coachella, originally the word was the Spanish term for sea shell and Pacific Railroad Cartographers wrote into the hand drawn maps the miss-spelled word and the railroad execs thought it too expensive to alter the maps and thus the Valley called Conchilla became known in err to this day as Coachella Valley,CA.by George A.
