kaydoublu commented on the word Hyphy
Hyphy is very common slang among San Fancisco Bay Area youth. It is used as an adjective meaning hyperactive, goofy, rambunctious and as an adverb meaning to act crazily, without inhibition. The word appeared in a rap song by Keak Da Sneak in 1998. Although it is now commonly used to refer to the Northern California hip hop culture, it is utilized by the denizens of that movement as described above.
