  • Ok, I'm going to propose a meaning for the this word. Seems to me its derivative must be the same as for the word anthesis, which refers to the period during which a plant is receptive to pollination. I'm going to propose "receptive to romance or romantic overtures" as a meaning based on the one use of it found in Quo Vadis
