a curse word in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. "Belgium" is the rudest word in the universe, which is "completely banned in all parts of the Galaxy, except in one part, where they could not possibly know what it means."

Looking at etymonline , "Used for 'Low Germany and the Netherlands'", which describes a number of different countries. The WordNet definition makes sense this time.
