  • A tanager-like bird; species were previously classified in the bunting and American sparrow family, but recent studies show that they belong in the Thraupidae family. The species include the Cinnamon-Bellied, Slaty, Rusty, Venezuelan, Chestnut-Bellied, White-Sided, Glossy, Moustached, Merida, Black, Black-Throated, Grey-Bellied, Scaled, and Greater Flower-Piercers.
