  • Lead-copper arsenate mineral first found at Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, and named after the French colonial governor Lucien Fourneau. One wonders why Fourneau was anglicized (sort of), and what, if any, relationship the mineral name bears to other English words that begin with fornac-. One wonders if there is more to the backstory of naming this mineral name than is evident.
