From what I can find, this is an Incan name for a species of goose. "Its plumage is of a snowy whiteness, all except the wings, which are bright green and violet, while the beak, legs, and feet, are scarlet." -- Thomas Mayne Reid, The Forest Exiles or, The Perils of a Peruvian Family amid The Wilds of the Amazon, first published c. 1855
