  • Jingle weed is cited as a common name for Sida acuta in Harvard University's Journal of the Arnold Arboretum, Vol. 68, 1987, p.125. Another name is common wireweed. It is a weed that frequents pastures and disturbed areas throughout the southern US states that border the Gulf of Mexico, and it has been introduced in Hawaii. It doesn't care how many times you cut it with your lawn mower.
