Due to its canine features and apelike disposition, some assume the Egyptian mimick-dog is a cross between a primate and a poodle. The mimick-dog has shaggy hair, long legs, a thick snout, and - like some chimpanzees - the ability to imitate anything it chooses to. Its abundant dancing and acting talent has made it a favorite in royal courts down the ages.
