You can still sell movie adaptations to a limited extent, by getting it out before the movie* or releasing it in that brief** months-long window between the movie's theatrical run and its DVD release.

I typed in vlc and there it was, so I selected my movie like this: vlc movies / legally \obtained \movie / movie. avi and that works just fine; VLC pops up and starts playing movie. avi, and I also found out that you could start VLC without an interface if you type in cvlc so that's cool.

A recent comment (probably meant as an insult!) about how I watch a lot of dad movies inspired me to fully embrace my taste and create the ultimate dad movie canon.

The Oriental Theatre is an excellent example of a “movie palace” from 1927. A movie palace was larger and grander than a typical movie theater of the period, featuring expansive lobbies, balconies, a stage with orchestra pit, and restrooms with lounges. Most notably, movie palaces had ornate and lavishly detailed interiors designed to make patrons feel as though they were in a unique setting such as an exotic and distant land.

On this week’s episode, Kiernan and Ryan discuss their sometimes divergent philosophies of what makes a perfect airplane movie, the best thing to do with your screen if you’re not using it, and why you don’t want to sit in front of Ryan when he’s engaged in a heated round of Tetris.
