hernesheir commented on the word ochreaceous
Oh, ochraceous, as evidenced by this source yes, seems to be a misuse of ochraceous: "A copious "ochreaceous" precipitate was obtained, which was dissolved in cold diluted nitric acid." -- (System of Theoretical and Practical Chemistry, in Two Volumes with Plates. By Frederic Accum. Philadelphia, Kimber and Conrad, 1814, p. 19.) But see. the botanical term ochrea. I'll concede that in this reference, the term was not spelled correctly.

mollusque commented on the word ochreaceous
I wasn't aware of the term ochrea. The normal adjective for it seems to be ochreate, but I can see that ochreaceous is used as well.
