  • Yes, what a relief--the "penduline" part refers to its nest, which is built to hang from a tree branch, much like an oriole's nest. Here's a nice example.

    The bird itself is cute as the dickens; you're right. Even wears a teeny mask, like an avian Lone Ranger.
