  • Also called rockfowl or bald crow; a small genus of two passerine bird species within the family Picathartidae, native to the rainforests of tropical west and central Africa. Picathartes have unfeathered heads, and feed on insects and mollusks picked from damp rocky areas. Both species (white-necked and grey-necked) are non-migratory and dependent on a specialized rocky jungle habitat.
