RSS, "Really Simple Syndication," is a web content syndication format for delivering regularly changing web content (e.g. news sites, blogs, microblogs, etc). Anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be read using a RSS "web feed" or "feed aggregator."
The term "RSS" is also used more broadly to describe a format that spans several different versions. http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/rss/rss.html'>See "History of RSS" for more definitions - http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/rss/rss.html
