chained_bear commented on the word secreted
I've heard this pronounced two ways, depending on its meaning: se-KREET-ed, as past tense of secrete meaning to produce or discharge a substance, and also SEE-cret-ed, as past tense of hiding something (Dictionary.com calls this a probable back-formation from the word secret, which might explain this pronunciation).
