  • "double double" or "double-double"

    in Canada a coffee with 2 creams and 2 sugars.

    "On the way to work I stopped in at Timmie's drive thru for a double double and a muffin."

    From Wikipedia:

    A double-double is a basketball term, defined as an individual performance in a game in which a player accumulates a double digit number in any two of these categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots. The most common double-double is a combination of points and rebounds, and then next is points and assists.

    Quote:

    Chris Bosh, who had 21 points and 10 rebounds, recorded his eighth consecutive double-double for the Raptors, who lost their second game in a row. It was Bosh's 40th double-double of the season."

  • "meh" is an interjection used to express disinterest. A synonym is "whatever".

    * 1995 March 19, “Lisa’s Wedding”, The Simpsons

    Marge: weaving on a loom “Hi Bart, I’m weaving on a loom!”

    Bart: “Meh”.

    Also an adjective describing a feeling of disinterest or apathy:

    2003, Dana, 10/18/03 Shows 4 in alt.tv.trading-spaces

    Both shows left me feeling,(sic) meh.

    or an adjective applied to something mediocre as in :

    2003, steve-o, Jam On The River Mini-Review 1 in rec.music.phish

    They redeemed themselves with this show. The first song or two was (sic) meh, but they were on fire after that.

    Sorry, the citations are grammatically sloppy. So goes the cutting edge of the lingo.
