  • “Sir,” said Dr. Johnson, “the corporeal gelidity and horripilation superinduced by the niveous atmosphere cannot be mitigated even by the mental incalescence evolved by indignation.” “He means,” whispered Mr. Boswell, “that it’s so infernally cold in the cars of the Third Avenue elevated that even swearing at the directors won’t warm you.” in a word this paragraph is incalescent made me smile!

  • "I like her," said she, one recess, when her corps of affectionate teazers hung on and about her. "It wounds me to hear you speak disparagingly of her. You must admit that she has redeeming traits. She is one of our best scholars, and if inaccessible, is upright and honorable, and will not stoop to do an ignoble action." page 45, from 'Alone' by Marion Harland. project gutenberg

  • having raised an autistic son, i realize 'tone' shouts when intention was not sensitive..

i am sorry. i just love words..probably ( because i have been surrounded by the numbed, dumbed, media-silenced viewers and the dear, unclear, emotionally silenced children that came into my life,) i write superfluously , a gluttonous attack on communicating when no one is looking, when the invited do not show up and the uninvited need so much attention, ...

please do not think unkindly of my bleeding heart or my presentation...i will/ am healing. i write , not expecting answers or comments.

i am not familiar with 'community' as such on the internet...'rules of etiquette' can confound the uninitiated. keepers of rules may play alone.

mentored by a wonderful mother-in-law forty years ago, as my babies became 'ggp's' (great game players) they were instructed with grandma's rules..this meant if you have a choice, you do not sent someone 'home', you indicate a better move to the younger players, and you either finish the game or gently put it away until all participants have pottied, napped or matured....

  • pinacothek pinacotheca the panoramic zoescope if i stop spinning on a harsh memory..a whirling-dervishness besets me. and if when i am standing still and considering grace, the praxinoscope now revealing all that i had not noticed the first or tenth or hundredth cycle around...the added reflections adding perspective and awareness.

  • arrived, chasing a look-up...minever

    perambulated, placing a hook-up...user

lingered, facing an alternatively lonely day of pack-up...marital sever

    considered, erasing insults that shook-up...whatever

since happenstance is actually the occurrence contingent to a prior event, whether or not the vital connection is evident, if i alter my next thought to something true and lovely, forgiving and healing,

happenstance reveals providence and thereby i live...breathe...move...

i may 'go away', i will, as you say.

but i go with the grace of God and a soft cuff of minever eases the edge of your slammed door.
