surlyteabag commented on the word myllion
The word "myllion" was invented by Donald Knuth as part of his alternative system to name large numbers. He proposed throwing out "thousand" and replacing it with "ten hundred". Then myriad would be a hundred hundred (ten thousand=10^4), and a myriad myriad (10^8) would be a myllion (pronounced /mile yun/). A myllion myllion would be a byllion, and so forth.
