Ben killedlocke because he got everything he needs to know. ben isnt important anymore like locke and he wasnt in the loop. he doesnt know how to get back to the island and didnt know about mrs hawking. locke was his only link on how to get back and once ben had everything he needed from locke he killed him so thAT HOPEFULLY HE COULD TAKE HIS LEADER POSTION BACK.
