<b>Panvocalic Plants</b>

List of formal or informal plant names that are panvocalic - that is the name contains all the vowels at least once +/- one or more wyes (y). I start the listing with the lovely white forsythia, abeliophyllum. This name is also alphavocalic in that the vowels proper are in alphabetical order, and euryvocalic; it also contains a wye functioning as a vowel. Following the example of mollusque, I've tagged each one of these words with vowel strings and other information to provide metadata for further research and exploration.

I follow botanical convention and capitalize the formal taxonomic names (genus, family, order, etc). Common names or adjectives derived from the formal taxonomic names I'll not capitalize. Some generic names listed here are later synonyms of earlier names that take precedence according to the rules of nomenclature. I list these synonyms, since they appeared in print and continue to be listed occasionally in publications dealing with taxonomy.

I tire of listing terms that have more than one or two extra vowels, so this list is admittedly very incomplete. My real interest is in recording the euvocalic and euryvocalic examples I run across.
