Wait.... confectio Damocritis is from Damascus? Ungh! Bilby! Why didn't you say anything before?!
(Welcome to Wordnik, Dimshaw. You'll fit right in here.... would you like some fufluns?)

I have just burned a good piece of my morning trying to figure out the anagram hiding in "dips lid." I did slip right into error, and a tip of the hat to bilby for a well-executed ambush.

Rest assured that unless ruzuzu has written to you in Polish asking for help obtaining confectionery from Damascus, you're probably not considered a spammer.
What would a welcome to Wordienik be without an in-joke?
Interesting observations about anagrams by the way. *dips lid* -
You are off to a good start, Dimshaw. Welcome aboard.

I assure you, I'm not a spammer! Just a genuine word geek who wants to join in. Sorry about multiple posts, but I'm not familiar with the format yet! No Ill-intent!

I have also tried a game called antograms. This time, the anagrams become antonyms. For example, ' Honestly' becomes 'On the sly' and 'Confidentiality' becomes 'Coin it defiantly!' Again, if anyone has a different name for this, I'd love to know.

Dimshaw commented on the word synogram
I have a really strange habit of seeking out words whose anagrams become synonyms. Simple things like 'evil' and 'vile' and 'enraged' and 'angered'. There are some more complex ones as well. I'm calling these synograms. Does anyone know a different name for them?
