(In)famous mystic Aleister Crowley had allegedly chosen his own name because he was convinced that one consisting of a dactyl (A-lei-ster?) followed by a spondee (crow-ley) was the most favorable for becoming famous. Something to do with having a hypnotic or suggestive quality to it or whatever.
A nondescript, obscure or insignificant city or place. Usually pejorative or ironic. Can be used as a modifier, noun, adjective, and so on. Largely informal.
There's a slight difference between illegal and extralegal, in my opinion. Extralegal usually implies something done outside the boundaries of the law, but somehow justified by common sense on account of said law being ill-conceived, partisan, bigoted, invidious or just plain absurd. For example someone shouting "Kim Jong-Il SUCKED!" in North Korea is doing something extralegal in Western eyes and illegal in North Korean eyes.
To crap out can also be used to informally define the malfunctioning of something, usually a machine of some sort, especially when it's unexpected. "The phone crapped out on me". (ie. "The phone stopped working/went haywire" - you get the idea.)
Shortened, informal form of commissioner. Mostly used in police contexts, but apparently any commissioner will do. "Let's apprehend this criminal" "five by five, commish."
It's a slightly funnier and less vulgar way to say "shit" or "bollocks". Like "Ballbags, didn't see that one coming!" or "What a load of ballbags." Not officially recognized anywhere, but that didn't stop words before.
Ballbagsballbagsballbags! Could use it all day long.

Guess it makes sense, since a beanpole must also be slender and thin, in order to facilitate growth.
