A goofy word for explosion. Probably an extension of the joke that originated in Homestar Runner Strong Bad E-Mail #94, "Video Games," where a retro-style arcade game tells Strong Bad "your head a splode." The phrase has become an internet meme, but I've never seen this form of the word until today.

Metanalysis and nominalization! I love watching language evolve. Thanks to the internet, it happens at a rate much faster than it used to, so I get to watch it occur rapidly in my lifetime. That may or may not be a good thing, depending on who you ask.
