As a child, I always thought it was a great honor that the town chlorinator was on our property.

I used to operate a chlorinator at the local pool. It had to be at least 20 years old, and the pvc pipes would make funny noises when I turned the valves. I was *certain* that one day it was going to explode and I was going to die.
