I'm agreed with deinony - I think bread can be pre-toastified, post-toastified, and even re-toastified, but it can not be de-toastified. Kind of like un-ringing a bell. Or unbutterfying a cat.I think the real question here is: if you defenestrate a buttered cat, will anyone care.

A word that my friend and I coined as we were discussing the buttered cat paradox. I defined it as follows: "When the butter on toast is reabsorbed into the bread, causing the bread to become stale again; when toast ceases to be toasted"
