I still like to use clotheslines--even in the winter (we'd always call it "freeze drying").

I heard that's how they cleaned rugs in winter in Russia. Take rugs out and hang them on bars (installed for this purpose). Spray them with a mist of water. The water is absorbed by dust and dirt particles. Leave overnight for the water droplets to freeze, then thump the rug. The thwocka-thwocka dislodges the frozen dirt particles.

I added true tubs: bran tub, dolly tub, and twin tub. Three tubs are out of the ordinary: tub gurnard (a fish), tub thumper (a ranting public speaker) and tub chair.
